Game Tonight (09/05/10, 9pm Eastern)

Don’t forget that tonight (Sunday) is game night.

I still need character descriptions, for use on the Roster page, from some of you.

In the last session, the party returned to the ruins of the citadel, where they found the entrance guarded by a sea ogre. Unexpectedly, the triton Xmador was drawn back within the crimson conch shell. The merrow was armed with a club and spear. He was shackled to a chain which disappears beyond the mouth of the cavern.

Dorman attacked the merrow while the chained creature was dining upon the remains of a dead sea sprite. The party attacked in unison, quickly overpowering the ogre. However, the merrow unleashed a final surprise – the chain to which he was secured was also fastened to the merman Quarion, now transformed into a tauric sea slug and rendered quite insane.

Overcome by the party’s combined assault, the ogre perished. Unexpectedly, so too did Quarion. The two seemed linked by an unusual two-headed lamprey which previously had taken the form of the manacles and chain.

As the party recovered the magical trident of Quarion and the merrow’s meager possessions, a peculiar codpiece fashioned in the likeness of a lobster, two earrings made of red coral, a nose ring made from black coral, and his weapons, Sakura noticed that one of Reiko’s silver toys, a gift from the mechanatrix child Jaenan, had unexpectedly appeared and beckoned her to follow.

GHWiki Gem of the Week: The Isle of Dread- “ The Isle of Dread was settled by Olman humans more than 1,300 years ago. They cleared the jungle, planted crops, and built a fortified city, known as Thanaclan, on top of a large central plateau. This city-state became one of the wealthiest provinces of the Olman Empire, in large part due to the recovery of treasure in the waters off the coast… Unfortunately, a kopru plot destroyed Thanaclan through the power of a giant black pearl imbued with the influence of Demogorgon, the demonic god of the kopru. The city was swallowed by a boiling lake and the island was overwhelmed with prehistoric creatures, while the remaining Olman descended into savagery. ”
